Schneider Electric USA – Black & Veatch JV, Palatine, Illinois, is being awarded a $19,288,354 firm-fixed-price contract for design and construction of an energy security microgrid for critical facilities at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar. The microgrid will be capable of powering numerous mission critical and support facilities during a utility grid outage, as well as providing peak shaving and/or demand response capability when connected to the utility grid. This project will also be designed to be scalable and systemically expandable to power the entire installation. The contract also contains four unexercised options and a planned modification, which if exercised would increase cumulative contract value to $21,867,596. Work will be performed in San Diego, California, and is expected to be completed by July 2018. Pavetech Inc., San Diego, California, is being awarded $17,442,195 for firm-fixed-price task order 0002 under a previously awarded, multiple award construction contract (N62473-15-D-2441) for Airfield 7/25 Runway (RW) repair projects and airfield lighting repairs of RW 7/25 and Taxiway Alpha at Naval Air Station Fallon. The work to be performed provides for repairs of deteriorated airfield pavement for air operations. The task order also contains one option item and one planned modification, which if exercised, would increase cumulative task order value to $22,842,111. Rolls-Royce Marine North America, Walpole, Massachusetts, is being awarded an $8,153,954 cost-plus-incentive-fee modification to previously awarded contract N00024-08-C-4203 for the DDG 51 Flight III adaptation of the DDG 1000 auxiliary turbine generator, designated the AG9160RF. Rolls-Royce Marine North America will provide one of two AG9160RF advanced power generation modules (APGMs) as test articles for use at the Navy’s Land Based Engineering Site for de-risk testing and control system integration in advance of ship installation. This contract modification will support eventual shipbuilder award and integration of the production AG9160RF APGMs for DDG 51 Flight III. Work will be performed in Indianapolis, Indiana, and is expected to be completed by March 2018.
