Composite Engineering Inc. (CEI) - Unmanned Systems Div., Sacramento, California, has been awarded a $40,848,839 cost-share contract for research and development. The Government share is $7,322,399 and the contractor share is $33,526,440. The contractor will provide design, develop, assemble, and test a technical baseline for a high-speed, long-range, low-cost, limited life-strike unmanned aerial system. The program will also identify key enabling technologies for future low-cost attainable aircraft demonstrations and provide a vehicle for future capability and technology demonstrations. Work will be performed at Sacramento, California, and is expected to be complete by April 18, 2019. This award is the result of a competitive acquisition with seven offers received. NAVY
Lockheed Martin, Mission Systems and Training, Baltimore, Maryland, is being awarded $10,676,521 for cost-plus-award-fee order ER06 against a previously awarded basic ordering agreement (N00024-15-G-2303) to provide engineering and management services for Littoral Combat Ship LCS-5 Post Shakedown Availability (PSA). Lockheed Martin will provide engineering and management services in support of the following: (1) 40,000 man-hours level of effort and to provide the work specification, pre-fabrication, and material for LCS-5 PSA; (2) a stern ramp capable of accepting continuous stowage of an 1l meter Rigid hull inflatable Boats and the associated technical impact statement package; (3) additional berthing capacity and (4) a reverse osmosis plant modification. Work will be performed in New York, New York (60 percent); Baltimore, Maryland (33 percent); and Marinette, Wisconsin (7 percent), and is expected to be completed by March 2017. Ocean Construction Services*, Virginia Beach, Virginia, is being awarded $7,805,091 for firm-fixed-price task order 0003 under a previously awarded multiple award construction contract (N40080-15-D-0459) for the repair of Purvis Elementary School and Neville Roads electrical systems at Marine Corps Base, Quantico. The work to be performed provides for replacement of overhead power lines with new underground power lines. The approximate route will predominantly be in non-paved areas and primary lines will be in concrete encased conduit. New lines that will cross existing paved roads and parking areas shall be installed via open pavement cut and placed in concrete encased conduit. Work will be performed in Quantico, Virginia, and is expected to be completed by July 2017. This is a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract. Exercise of the option via modification P00010 brings the total cumulative face value of the contract to $19,585,490 from $12,327,603.
