Flag Officer Assignments

The Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus and Chief of Naval Operations Adm. John M. Richardson announced today the following assignments:

Rear Adm. (lower half) Babette Bolivar will be assigned as commander, Navy Region Southeast, Jacksonville, Florida. Bolivar is currently serving as U.S. Pacific Command Representative, Guam, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Republic of Palau; commander, U.S. Naval Forces, Marianas; and commander, Joint Region Marianas, Guam.

Rear Adm. (lower half) Edward B. Cashman will be assigned as commander, Joint Task Force, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Cashman is currently serving as director, Joint Integrated Air and Missile Defense Organization (JIAMDO), J-8, Joint Staff, Washington, District of Columbia.
