General Officer Assignments

The chief of staff, Army announced the following assignments:

Brig. Gen. Mitchell R. Chitwood, U.S. Army Reserve, to commanding general, Troop Program Unit, U.S. Army Reserve Legal Command, Gaithersburg, Maryland. He most recently served as director, Rule of Law Field Force-Afghanistan, U.S. Forces-Afghanistan, Operation Freedom’s Sentinel, Afghanistan.
